Hello All, My name is Carissa. I'm a Research Assistant on a team called Leaf No Waste, a collaborative project between TU Dublin and Teagasc, and we're looking into a way to reduce food waste and plastic waste. We've been awarded the Science Foundation Ireland Future Innovator Prize to research methods to reduce food waste at all stages of the food supply chain (Sustainable Development Goal 12.3), from growers to consumers, and how to make compostable packaging more suitable for produce. As you may know, food waste is responsible for up to 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions and costs Irish consumers an average of €700 per year.
Currently, we are conducting an online survey (less than 5 minutes, totally anonymous) of consumers of leafy greens and we would love to hear from you! We're looking to gauge people's attitudes towards food loss and sustainable packaging of leafy greens. Here's a link to the survey: https://forms.office.com/r/uHUR0ivcqp
If you want to learn more about our Project, you can find us on LinkedIn and Twitter, both at "Leaf No Waste". We really appreciate your time and your invaluable input!
Thank you,
Carissa Dieli
