Food Resource Efficiency Decision support Workshop

MTU researchers are currently involved in a collaboration with UCD and FoodCloud on SFI-funded research, “Food Resource Efficiency Decision support” (FRED) project, looking at preventing food waste and strengthening sustainability from a whole food supply chain “farm to fork” perspective.
They are running two workshops at MTU Kerry (Tralee)  that will support farmers and the fishing community to forge links with others in their own sector and other sectors, e.g. food service, prioritise their needs regarding sustainability of their farms and their sectors, and develop solutions with their peers and our research team.
The first workshop on March 4th will focus on fruit and vegetable growers, fishing businesses, and hospitality/food service businesses – registration here
The second, on May 7th, will focus on livestock and poultry producers – registration here
